Hello everyone,

I was wondering why we used that grammatical structure here, just give me a rule.

I went to a circus and zoo/ a zoo?

I will play football andwill then start studying/ then start studying.

There is no "rule".

Ok, Which one is correct, though, in those sentences? In other words, more natural to you, as a native speaker.

I went to a circus and a zoo.

I will play football and then [I'll] start studying.

The most natural versions (for me) are above.

[I'll] is optional in general, isn't it?

Would you tell how, please? Because I don't know when it differs.

The longer the first clause, the more likely we are to repeat the subject and verb in the second.

I'll watch the match and then go home.
I'll go straight home after the match to have a shower and get changed and then I'll go and pick up Maisie.
