Hi!
I have to write a writing assignment for English classes in school. I would be very grateful if anybody could correct my essay and make some changes if needed.
Thanks in advance !!!!
First pro is that non-native speakers are more tolerant when it comes to grammar correctness. Even making a lot of mistakes won’t be as much noticeable by non-native speaker as by British for instance. Communication between non-native speakers for many people isn’t as awkward as conversation with native speakers of any language.
Another pro is that non-native speakers are more into improving their second or whichever it is for them language. More ambitious people are definitely more willing to be able to use foreign language on high level.
Disadvantage of being a non-native speaker is pretty significant. Many people have a terrible fuzzy accent that makes conversation a challenge. Also wrong pronunciation may be a problem in communication. Various words are spelled the same but the only way of distinguishing these words is careful listening and knowing the context.
Second con of being a non-native speaker is that in order to be able to use the language you obviously must learn it before. It takes a bit of time, depending on person more or less. Native speakers don’t have to learn any other language because English is very popular in every part of the World.
In my opinion it doesn’t matter whether you are a native or non-native speaker because even Asian can speak as good as a British or American. The only thing that people may not be able to learn is accent, which still is important it isn’t the most significant one.

Pros and Cons of being a non-native English speaker
Everybody knows that English is the most popular language in the World. People use it to communicate one another when they are abroad or if they are working in big companies with English speaking co-workers. The question is: Is it better to be a native speaker or it doesn’t matter at all. First pro is that non-native speakers are more tolerant when it comes to grammar correctness.
