Hi,

I have seen the word "being" are being using in different ways.

To my knowledge, generally, it uses as passive voice, but I have seen as below as well.

"You must apply the skill of being a good listener"

Please explain.

Cheers

In that use, "being" is a gerund noun. The gerund phrase acts as the object of the preposition "of".

Thanks Mike, Really appreciated.

Can we say "Statements being generated are very helpful."

Is this correct?

I can't say. It needs a context.

How about this

"With regard to Issue 2 it was noted that approximately 1% of items resulted in a Null value being populated into the Table"

Shouldn't this be as "..... were being populated...."

cheers

No. It is grammatical as written.

So you reckon that also comes under gerunds phrase.

Could you please explain why can not we use were being populated there.

No, in this case I would call it a participial phrase. A gerund and a present participle have the same spelling, but different functions.

"Were" doesn't fit there because "resulted" is the clause's verb

Thanks Mike. Have a great day
