Which phrasal verb can fit here? ( I think both of them would be correct according to Oxford dictionary. However, English File course book went for only "go far".)

I agree with you. They are both possible but 'far' is better.

I agree that both are possible. I think I'd be more likely to use 'forward'.

I agree that both work. It depends on how much help English could be to your career as to which is better IMO.
