so can we say "His near sight or far sight is weak"?
No, that is not natural. 'His near vision is poor.' is much better.so can we say "His near sight or far sight is weak"?
Sorry, but I can't let that go. They are dozens of eye conditions that the general public has heard of that cause bad eyesight without near- or far-sightedness: glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, eye injuries, amblyopia, trachoma ... Naturally most people wouldn't know all of those, but if you have it, you'd most likely know about and talk about it.Generally you would hear people talking about bad eyesight or poor vision and the only distinction made is the nearsightness (AmE), shortshightness(BrE) or farsightness (AmE), longsightness (BrE).
Well, given that you've removed the "only", I'll let it go, .Is that version more accurate?

I am severely nearsighted. I am moderately farsighted.
