Re: Meaning of " on the go " ?

"On the go" describes someone who always seems to be in motion - they are either busy at work, or on their way to an appointment, or rushing out to pick up their children at soccer practice. Someone who seems to be constantly busy and never at rest.

    On the go:

    1. (idiomatic) Actively traveling; busy; moving often. A good suitcase is essential for someone who is on the go as much as he is.
    2. To have started. The new initiative is now on the go.

In constant activity, very busy, as in I'm exhausted--I've been on the go since eight this morning. [Mid-1800s]
