This is a clip from the news: Over at Harrods, they now spend five times more than Americans. Then it follows "They live for_a f... t...looking modest."

I am not sure about the underlined part, which I record in the enclosed part. Could any native teacher help me out?

Thank you!

Jason

not a teacher

It's difficult to be sure without more context, but what I hear is: "Leaving the flash Texan looking modest".

I am not a teacher.

That's almost right.

I hear, 'They leave a flash Texan looking modest'.
