Question: Can "a description" be followed by a that-clause?

For example,

In the email, please include a description that the product has been shipped.

I guess there might be better words than "description" here, but what I'd like to know is whether "a description" can be followed by a that-clause or not.

For your context, "Please include confirmation that the product has been shipped" would be better.

How about "a statement that..." and "information that"?

I don't find the use of the word "mention" natural at all in this context. If you mention something, you don't make a big thing of it, you throw it into a conversation, you make a passing comment about it. In your context, the confirmation that the product has been shipped is of vital importance. You don't just want to mention it.

I agree with emsr about "confirmation". You could also use "notification".

This usage of "mention that" is incorrect, isn't it?
