A specific kind of girl/girls?

I'm not sure if it should be 'girls' or 'girl.' My guess is that since the speaker is talking about a certain group of people, it should be plural.

I'm looking for a certain type of lawyer.
I'm looking for a certain type of dog.
I'm looking for a certain type of tool.

And so on and so forth.

Even when talking about a certain group of people/thing, we need to use singular nouns here.
