Hi, good morning.

I always confuse the word 'advise' and advice'. When we say 'Could you please advise/advice?' ' Your advise/advice, please.' Which is correct word?

Thanks & regards.

"Advise" is a verb; "advice" is a noun.

The words are pronounced differently, which affords a useful parallel when choosing between the homonyms 'practise' and 'practice' in BrE.

'I advise you to practise hard.'

'My advice is to get plenty of practice.'

Of course, in AmE, we use "practice" for both.
