The kid keeps crying after went home from the hospital.
After comfort him to sleep, he suddenly waking up when he was started falling asleep.
Comfort him again to sleep, repeatedly few times.

“after" and "comfort" can use in the first of the sentences?

All of those sentences are grammatically incorrect.

The child keeps crying after being taken home from hospital. After being comforted to sleep, he keeps suddenly waking up. The solution is to continue to comfort him to sleep, several times if necessary.

After comfort him to sleep
To my knowledge, if a gerund is not used after the conjunction 'after', a subject should be used. For example, 'After he has been comforted to sleep'.

Not a teacher.

"After comfort from his mother, he fell asleep." Here there is neither a gerund nor a subject after 'after'.

It is not a gerund but is a noun like a gerund. Am I wrong?

Not a teacher.

Yes, 'comfort' is a noun. Is it like a gerund? I don't know. You could make a case that an elephant is like a giraffe because they are African quadrupeds. Then again, in other ways an elephant is not like a giraffe. But anyhow, you haven't made a case. You've basically said, "Noun ... gerund ... pretty much the same".
Yes, I think you're wrong.

I mean after the conjunction 'after', the usages of nouns and gerunds are similar. For example, 'after dinner' is similar to 'after having dinner'. Am I wrong again?

Not a teacher.

Not really, but it could also be something like after serving/cooking dinner. However, what's your version of after nightfall/sunset? You don't need to have seen it to be affected by it. We could then move on to after 9pm, by which stage the gerund similarity is getting stretched, possibly, to snapping point; you can think of a gerund that would fit the space, but it's getting harder to think of a natural one.
