Hi teachers.

I have a student who's not cooperative. I asked her to read English every other day and she didn't do it. I told her several times but she just ignored me. After telling her a few times, I made up my mind not to tell her again and ignored her. I wrote a sentence "After reminding her a few times, I decided to leave her alone".

I wonder if my sentence is natural.

I wouldn't use it. Saying you're going to leave her alone suggests that what you had been doing before was negative. People might think you had been harassing her. Put the onus on yourself - "After reminding her a few times, I gave up".

Try:

I asked her to read something in English every other day, but she didn't do it.

She's rebellious.
:)

What if I make up some rhymes for you?

I wonder if I can also say "After reminding her for a few times, I gave up".
