Which is correct?
Another Olympic Games is coming.
Or

You need to capitalise "Games" in the first sentence.

Is there a reason that you used "Another" with "is" in sentence 1, but "The" with "are" in sentence 2. I'm not sure what you are querying. Do you want to know whether to use "The" or "Another", or whether to use "is" or "are"?

As I said, you must capitalise "Games" in that context.

Opinion is divided on this. In BrE, we are more likely to use the singular for things which could be considered plural.

The government is not doing its job.
My favourite team is doing really well this season.

I would use:

The Olympic Games is an event which is held every four years.
The Olympic Games were held in London in 2012.

So, as you can see, I consider both "is" and "are" to be usable.

1. "The other" Olympic Games is incorrect. There is only one event called "The Olympic Games" and it happens every four years.
2. "Another" Olympic Games is possible but it depends on context.
3. As I have already stated, both the singular and plural are used with the phrase "The Olympic Games".

You can use "the following" when talking about the past.

The 2008 Olympic Games took place in Beijing, the following Games took place in London and the next Olympic Games will take place in Rio de Janeiro.
