Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a word (adjective) that describes a person who is very concerned about appearance. I, for example, don't leave home if I'm not neatly dressed, and with a little make-up on. I know the word vain, but I always see it used in a negative way, as well as conceited.
Is there any word for such a thing without a negative meaning?
In portuguese the word is 'vaidosa'.

Thank you.

Thank you charliedeut, but, unfortunatley, it didn't solve my doubt.

Won't anybody else come up with a word?

Thanks.

I put "vaidosa" into an online translator and it said "vain person", which doesn't help us much.
Someone who is always clean, neat and presentable when they leave the house might be considered "well-groomed", "smart" or "spruce", but I'm not sure there's a single word for such people; they are people who "take care how they look", "always look their best", "always present well" etc. Words like "stylish" and "dapper" refer to specific attributes of dress and style rather than just a general carefulness about appearance. So I can't think of a word that covers exactly the meaning you want, but you sound like someone who my mother might describe as always looking smart when she's out and about.
