Is there a word for the opposite of topless?

If the person is wearing only the top, but the bottom is unclothed, could you call it bottomless?

This would refer to what's unclothed anyway. Is there a word that would refer to what's clothed? Topfull? Topdressed?

Hmm, after I googled bottomless, I found plenty of pictures (that I won't post here) matching what I'm looking for. Maybe it's some non-standard, fairly new meaning of the word.

I would certainly refer to someone who's naked below the waste as 'bottomless', but I wouldn't really consider it an antonym of 'topless'.

I don't think there's a direct word to mean someone's top half is clothed.

While the '-less' suffix can be stuck on a great many words, the '-ful' affix doesn't work with nearly as many of them to make corresponding opposites. In fact, I'm having a hard time thinking of a noun I couldn't tag '-less' to, but few of them would take 'ful'.

Not having a top on isn't usual, but it happens sometimes, and so there's a specific word for it. Having a top on is normal, especially when you're in a place where others can see you, and there isn't a specific word for it.

No. Depending on gender and the extent of exposure, I'd expect:
He didn't have his trousers on.
She wasn't wearing any bottoms.
He/she was naked below the waist.

To me, "He was bottomless" sounds like a description of someone who ate or drank a lot.

I see. I was looking for an expression I could use to my wife, who likes to go around the house bottomless, and a snarky remark along the lines of "Be bottomdressed tonight! We're going to have guests."

Any suggestions?

Yes! Invite me over to your house tonight so we can discuss some possibilities! ;)

I disagree with some earlier replies. In America there are many strip joints that feature bottomless dancers and it means their nether regions are unclothed. You can even see advertisements for such places along the highways.

Judging by the following, bottomlessness seems to exist in the UK as well.

I think that in the case of those clubs it might indicate that the dancers are totally nude. (I could be wrong.)

That has nothing to do with an absence of pants. The word is being used in the similar sense to a bottomless cup of coffee. It means that frequent top-pds mean your supply of coffee never comes to an end.

I'm genuuinely sorry to learn that. It's a great disappointment. 😀 For my next vacation maybe I'll go to France rather than the UK.

How about:
Have your clothes on.
Dress properly/decently.
Cover yourself up.

They're fine, but I was looking for something unbotomlessy, specifically.

Perhaps:

We're going to have company. How about if you put some clothes on?

The antonym for nude is dressed, but I don't think there is a pair like that for specific body parts.

Well, I think you're going to be disappointed. As you now know, "bottomless" is usually reserved for unlimited second helpings of food or drink. The word "unbottomless" doesn't exist.

We've got company tonight. Please make sure you're not naked from the waist down, like you usually are!

I guess I'm not going to get a remark I could use at her, then.

Thank you all for your help! I'll come back if I find a word that would fit some day.
