The quote in the above post refers to to-infinitives instead of bare infinitives.
If so, then it shoud have been more particular about that, saying something like "Only a to-infinitive can act as a noun, adjective, or adverb, whereas a bare infinitive cannot", or it can?
Indeed, is there any difference between "I want you to enter the building" and "I saw him enter the building" in terms of what the infinitive forms do in each of the examples? If there is, then it would be great to know what it is.
