I'm not a teacher nor a native speaker.

We normally say "high wind" or "strong wind".

Gale-force winds.

Not a teacher.

There are many, here are some:
High, strong, calm, blustery, warm, frigid, cold, gusty, turbulent, battering, deafening, sharp, cool, tropic, brisk, freezing, Chinook (Usually related to the American west; a strong, warm wind occurring in the winter), balmy, blizzard-force, arctic, gale-force, heavy, and wintry.

Can "violent" be added onto the above list?
