Hello!

Can you explain the difference between 'suggest' and 'advise'?

Mr. Brown has ______ us on how we can make our products more attractive to consumers.
(A) suggested (B) advised

The answer is (B) advised, but is 'suggested' grammatically awkward, or semantically wrong?

It is very confusing.

I'd appreciate if you explain the difference.

Thank you in advance.

'Suggested' cannot be use in this way.

'Suggested' cannot be use in this way.

Can you explain why? I would like to know the reason.

Thank you ^^

'Suggest' is not followed by an indirect object without a preposition:

Mr Brown has suggested us ... :cross:

I understand. Thank you.
