cap or cover

Regarding baby bottles, is it cap or cover? We've been using cover, and I'm afraid we might have taught our child wrong! He's already so used to the term, how do you undo it?

Can someone please check the following if they're correct?

Manhole = cover
Pen = cap
Marker = cap
Pot / Pan = lid
Drinking bottle (ignore the small image on the right) = cover

Drinking bottle (twistable) = cap

Jar (see image) = cover

Baby milk powder container (see image) = cap

Regarding baby bottles, do you Cover the bottle, or do you Replace the cap?

Jars and containers have "lids." I am not sure where you got "cover" from. Bottles have "caps."

Put the cap back on.

Don't worry so much! Just start using the word "cap" from now on and he'll start using it too.
