Is the following right? For example, is the use of "host country cultural values" and "contacting the host culture" and "connecting with the ethnic group", and "an individuals's cultural socialization to the host culture and to his or her culture" right?

Initially, Berry & Annis (1974) and Szapocznik, Scopetta, Kurtines, & Aranalde (1978) agree that the more acculturated a foreigner is to the host culture, the more likely this foreigner agrees with host country cultural values, and the less likely he or she agrees with the values from the home culture. However, this view suggests that the process of foreigners contacting the host culture and the process of connecting with the ethnic group could not occur simultaneously.
In recent years, scholars currently assume that an individual's cultural socialization to the host culture and to his or her culture can happen simultaneously.
