"Since April 2007 when the depression occurred for the first time, I have been admitted to a close ward 2 times and to an open ward 5 times so far."

When using coordinating conjunction to bridge two similar clauses,
how much of the overlapping idea can be omitted?

In the sentence above, would the sentence still be alright if I replaced "to" with "admitted to", or took out "to" entirely?

And also would you please tell me whether the rest of the sentence is grammatically sound?

In the sentence above, would the sentence still be alright if I replaced "to" with "admitted to", Yes, but it's not necessary or took out "to" entirely? Yes
The rest of the sentence is grammatically sound.

Thanks always
