I watched the Olympic games three weeks ago. At first, I wasn't that passionate about the games. However, since our foil fencing team won a gold medal, I had started to watch it and have tried to learn about how fencing competition works. I've watched many foil fencing videos, but still, sometimes I don't understand how the judge counts the mark when two athletes attack each other at the same time.

watch them = the games
If you want to focus on the fencing, then say it.

I've watched many foil fencing videos no comma here but sometimes I still [STRIKE], sometimes I[/STRIKE] don't understand how the judge [STRIKE]counts the mark[/STRIKE] decides on the marks/scores when the two [STRIKE]athletes[/STRIKE] competitors [STRIKE]attack[/STRIKE] hit each other at the same time.

I think you can call the participants in the sport fencers.
