Do we fall off the sky?

I can say with 100% certainty that I have never fallen off the sky. I have never even stood on the sky, a position I would have to be in in order to fall off it. You need something else after "fall" (hint: you need two words).

Are you asking whether off is the right preposition? If so, no, it isn't. Various kinds of things may fall from the sky. They hardly ever include people, so "we" usually don't.

We fall from the sky.

Do we fall off every thing else? Like car, boat, bicycle, bed, chair, mountain etc?

Fall out of a car
Fall off a boat/Fall overboard from a boat
Fall off a bicycle
Fall out of bed
Fall down a mountain

There's no rule to memorise. You'll just have to learn the appropriate usage as you come across it.

For your original, I was thinking of "fall out of the sky".

Okay, so someone or something can fall out of the sky. Is it correct?

"Fall out of sky" or "Fall from sky". Which one is correct? EMS is saying "Fall out of sky".

Something can. What do you imagine it would mean for someone to fall out of the sky?

That is something ems wouldn't dream of saying. Can you see the mistake you introduced after getting something right just two minutes earlier?

Tufguy, if I fell out of the sky it would be from an airplane. And the end wouldn't be good for me.

Ouch!
I fell out of bed
And I hit my head.

Or a parachute/skydiving problem.

I fell out of an airplane once. Luckily, it was on the ground at the time. :)

Falling does not kill you. It's the sudden stop at the end of the fall that gets you.

There's an old joke about optimism versus realism. A guy fell off a 20 story building. On his way down past each floor, he would tell the people inside "so far so good"!

Sorry, Which one is correct? EMS is saying "Fall out of the sky".

Yeah, a girl's parachute got punctured and she fell out of the sky breaking several bones but survived.

A girl whose parachute punctured on her way down.

I am still confused. Is it "Fall out of the sky" or "Fall from the sky"?

They're both possible.
