Hi all,

could you please help in correcting this email.
Thank you!

Hi Xxx,

Manager has asked me to finish the documentation for project by close of business today and hence I won’t be able to attend the 2 PM meeting today. Is it ok if I call you tomorrow morning to get meeting updates?

Thanks,
LL

You need some definite articles and a couple of commas.

I think by "close of business" is too formal and not natural.
How about "before office finishes"?

How about "before office finishes"?
That isn't.

What's wrong with "before office finishes"?

"Before office finishes" is quite unnatural.

How else do you say it other than "before close of business"? Is this the usual way natives say it?

How about:
before office ends/closes, before the end of office hours?

How about:
before office ends/closes :cross:
before the end of office hours :tick:

"By close of business" is the standard phrase in BrE.
