Everybody is busy now as the coming or Everybody are busy now as the coming.
 
Please help. Which is more correct?

1. Everybody is busy now as the coming. or
2. Everybody are busy now as the coming.

Everybody is/are busy now as the welcoming party. Which is correct?
 
Everybody takes a singular verb. Examples:

Everybody is busy ...
The whole committee is busy ....
All the members of the committee are busy ...
 
Or

Everybody is busy at the welcoming party.
