hi all im doing the celta course and would appreciate if you could tell me how to explain the words of overweight and fat using example sentences? thanks

Have you tried a dictionary?

Hi all. I'm doing the [strike]celta[/strike] CELTA course and would appreciate it if you could tell me how to explain the words [strike]of[/strike] "overweight" and "fat" using example sentences? Thanks.

Your CELTA tutor wants to see what you can do, not what we can do. You need to do all the work yourself. Please look at the amendments I made to your post above. Remember the rules of written English:

- Start every sentence with a capital letter.
- End every sentence with a single appropriate punctuation mark.
- Always capitalise the word "I" (first person singular).
- Put the words you are querying in quotes (or in italics).

I do know the reply, it cannot be the definition but rather an explanation of how to differentiate between the two. Any help would be appreciated.

Your profile indicates that your native language is English and you hail from the UK. If that is correct, you should know that "fat" is an insulting word to call someone.
