For the solution provided in the offer, both solutions will have 16 panels installed as this is the maximum amount of solar panel can be installed on the client roof.
As for the storage the alternative 1 mentioned in the above is a better option as the 16 panels are enough to supply the house with electricity during the day and charging the batteries.
For the alternative 2, a generator is needed as a backup.

For a proper operation of the system an inverter with a maximum capacity of 30amps shall be installed for the 16 pv panel suggested.

What can I use another term instead of "for the proper …" I don't want to repeat "for the" two times in a row.
 
Try:

A backup generator is needed in case the main power goes out.
