"The result was an album of guitar flash, rhythm section euphoria and finger-pointing vocal admonishment, Ronnie delivering straight through the heart his evil but empowering haikus with a voice now legendary for capably fronting two brutish British rock institutions". Martin Popoff " The top 500 heavy metal albums".
Could you please decipher what the words in bold mean as a whole, maybe reword it, I get the words, but can't get the meaning as a unit.

It seems to mean the person had a lecturing tone.

It appears that the person named Ronnie is the vocalist of this band, and that he has a tendency to point his finger in an admonishing manner when he sings.

Which band is this about? Black Sabbath? Is it Ronnie Dio?

"Look out, the sun is going black, black" (A line from Black Sabbath's "Children of the Sea", Ronnie James Dio as the lead vocalist.)

Calling Black Sabbath lyrics haikus is like calling Adolf Hitler's actions naughty.😀

I haven't the foggiest idea. It seemed utterly ridiculous to me. Here is an example of an English translation of a haiku by the great master Basho:

Old pond.
Frog jump in.
Water sound.

Very unlike Black Sabbath, isn't it?

P.S. On further reflection I think it must be irony.
