[Vocabulary] Hosteller vs hosteler vs hostler

Kindly differentiate these words and also provide the word for - the one who stays in a hostel.
 
What have you already discovered for yourself by consulting the dozens of free online dictionaries at One.Look.com?
 
After referring some dictionaries, I got confused.
 
Which dictionaries did you refer to?
 
These three words are all so rarely used that I wouldn't bother working on them.
 
And two of them have nothing to do with staying at a hostel. Every dictionary definition I found with a quick Google search showed me that.
 
One of my great great grandfathers was an hostler. The more common spelling is "ostler", hence my choice of article.

"Hosteler" is archaic, we would always use "hotelier" these days.

"Hosteller" was a regular term in BrE half a century ago but "backpacker" is more common now.
 
Gyan, we are still waiting for you to tell us or give us links to dictionary definitions that left you confused.

Well, I am not familiar with any of those words, but there is at least one person on here who is.
