Being an English Teacher i have the responsibility to adress the importance of English to all my students. So i would be glad if anyone here could help me out with any kind information regarding the matter.

For a start, insist they always capitalise 'I', wherever it occurs in the sentence.

Many websites are in English, so your students must learn English if they want to join the global village.

Not a teacher.

It's the number one language for international communication- as we move into an increasingly globalised world, it is a necessary skill for more and more jobs. If they want a good professional life, they'll almost certainly need it.

With English skills, one can go out into the world and find employment and schooling. Look to India next door. How many countless Indians are working all over the world, from doctors to engineers to laborers on construction projects? Earning good money and getting opportunities to experience the world.

Without English, this would not be so.
