Hi all,
I made up the following dialogue. Do you think the use of "How lucky" sounds natural?

A : Guess what! John won 100 million yen in a lottery.
B : How lucky! He doesn’t have to work anymore.

Grammar books say "how + adjective" can be used to express your feelings, but it seems like native speakers of English (at least some of them) say they don't use this as grammar books say.
 
It's fine to me, in this context.
 
There are many other ways of expressing the idea, but this one works.

Ron: Guess what!
Don; What?
Ron: It's breakfast time!
Don: Yay!
