How to give the correct explanation

Hi All,

How can I explain the difference between Terrified of vs Terrified with vs Terrified by to Indian Students?

I am terrified of Dentists. I'm terrified with Dentists and I'm terrified by dentists.

Which is correct and why?

Please help with similar confusing words with prepositions...

It is difficult to explain the choice of prepositions. For me, "terrified of" and terrified by" are correct. "Terrified with" would be less common.

danyboy, please note that there is no need to capitalise terrified, students and dentists in your post.

Also, a better title would have been I am terrified of/by/with dentists.
