"It is our hope in the wake of Robin's tragic passing, that others will find the strength to seek the care and support they need to treat whatever battles they are facing so they may feel less afraid."

1. The first sentences is underlined in red, why "battle" have to write the "s' after the word?

"Friends and family can usually detect changes in the Parkinson's patient including poor posture, loss of balance, and abnormal facial expressions," according to the National Parkinson Foundation.

2. Same question as above-mentioned.

The "s' makes the words plural. This is done because there is more than one "battle" and more than one "change".

Many thanks!

You're welcome, but there is no need to make a separate post to say thanks. Just click the "Thank" button in the lower left had corner.

Polyester, this is the second thread you have posted with the same unhelpful title.

As I have told you at least twice before, a better title would have been battle/battles, as these are the words you are asking about.

Extract from the Posting Guidelines:

'Thread titles should include all or part of the word/phrase being discussed.'
