Either as separate letters or as 'that is'.
 
Even some (possibly many) native English speakers don't know that its translation is "that is" so would say "eye ee". Native speakers can get very confused by "ie" and "eg".

"Eg" is also pronounced as "i: dji:" or as "for example", isn't it?
 
For those who don't do IPA, it's 'ee gee'.
