Hello everybody!

8:31 a.m. Baby is finally done and I need to wet paper towel to clean him up. No more paper towels in kitchen. I go to garage to get new roll. While there, I remember I haven’t switched the laundry load from last night.
Does "I haven’t switched the laundry load from last night" mean "I haven't put on the washing machine in order to wash the laundry that was to have been washed last night"?

Thank you.

I have no idea what "Baby is finally done" means!

I imagine the part about the laundry means that the person hasn't removed the load of washing from the washing machine and put it in the drier.

I think that by "switch the laundry" she means take a load out of the washer and put another one in. (I would take the load that was in the washer and put it in the dryer.)

Ems, the baby was done eating.

(Yogurt! Yum!)

If he needs cleaning up with paper towels, he's probably done pooping.

I wasn't going to go there.

I'm no parenting expert but I'm pretty sure no parent uses kitchen paper towels to clean a baby's bottom!

The baby had been eating yogurt, and maybe he had a messy face.

I use "switch the laundry" to mean to move it from the washer to the dryer. If you don't put in your next load, who cares, but if you leave wet laundry in the washer, it will mildew.

And no, unless you were really desperate, you wouldn't use paper towels to wipe your baby's bottom.

Agree with ems on both points.
