Can I say "I set an alarm for 4 AM 'until Friday' or 'from Monday to Friday'"?

Yes. Both variations are possible.

Natural: I set the alarm for 4 a.m. Monday through Friday. (You can also say my alarm. Don't say an alarm. It isn't natural.)

If you mean Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, we usually say Monday through Friday.

When I set my alarm for 4:00, it rings at 4 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Do we use an alarm much to wake up in BrE?

I would use it too.

I need to set an alarm to remind myself to take my meds.
Are you going to set an alarm for tomorrow morning or do you think you'll just wake up in time?

I use an American-English one to wake up. It's not an archaic old alarm clock, of course; I just set an alarm on my phone.
