Dear professor,
I would like to have some information. I have to take the english grammar exam and I had a little doubt about a sentence. In the following sentence it is preferable to say : I think you HAVE TO sell your car : it's too old or I think you MUST sell your car: it's too old!
I look forward to a reply

[STRIKE]Dear professor,[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]I would like to have some information[/STRIKE].

All the struck-through words are unnecessary. Just go ahead and ask your question.

I have to take an English grammar exam and I have a [STRIKE]little doubt[/STRIKE] question about a sentence.

In the following sentence, which is preferable? "I think you HAVE TO sell your car: it's too old" or "I think you MUST sell your car: it's too old!"

[STRIKE]I look forward to a reply.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Best regards[/STRIKE]

I'd use "have to".
