1.I transferred from Gangnam Station to Jamsil Station.
2.I transferred at Gangnam station then went towards Jamsil station.

Which between 1 and 2 is correct ? Or are both correct?

I'd use neither. I'd say I changed (trains)at Gangnam for Jamsil.

It's not clear what happened. (For now, I'm going to assume that they are both train stations.) Did you get off a train at Gangnam Station and then walk to Jamsil Station in order to catch another train? Did you arrive at Gangnam Station, get off the train and then get catch another train in order to travel to Jamsil Station?

You don't transfer from one station to another. You transfer from one train to another, at one particular station.

On long-distance journeys you may well have to transfer from one station in a city to another in order to continue on your journey.

A little research on Goigle Maps indicates that both Gangnam and Jamsil are neighbourhoids in Seoul. Presumably they both have railway or Metro stations.

I wouldn't call that "transfer" though. Then again, my experience traveling by train is limited.

2) sounds OK to me where the connection is not direct and you have to travel between stations. The high speed link with France goes to St Pancras. The next high speed link will go to Euston. They are nearby, but you will have to go from one to the other to get your connection. I've never been to Seoul, so don't know the connections there. However, I would say and went to Jamsil Station.

I think the following two are desirable.
1. I transferred at Gangnam Station for Jamsil Station.
2. I changed trains at Gangnam for Jamsil.
