We say "I try doing something".

Do we say "I keep trying doing something" or "I keep on trying doing something"? Like "I kept on trying clearing fifth stage of that game but failed every time" or "I keep on trying stopping myself from thinking negative now-a-days but fail every time".

Is it correct to use "To" after "Trying" without changing the meaning? Like "I keep trying to clear the fifth stage but fail every time"?

Say I keep trying to do something.

Tufguy, if it's worth doing, keep trying. Eventually you will succeed. (Edison tried 100 times before he had success with the light bulb.)
