Tom: You met a big opportunity.
Peter: I wasn't able to handle this case without you.
1- "Meet" is not the right verb to use in that sentence.
2- How is Peter's answer connected to Tom's question?

I want to know I always make a lot of sentences. However, are all the sentences that I made with no connections? Are they no make sense?

They are possible as stand-alone sentences, but as I said above, "met" is not the best verb to use in the first.
