I have a splitting headache. I wish I _____ go to work today.
a. haven't had to
b. didn't have to
c. hadn't had to
d. don't have to
The ILI English Series, High-intermediate 2 Workbook, page 38

The answer key says b is the right option, but I think d is correct, too: You had a hard day at work and now you have a splitting headache.
What do you think?

P.S. Sorry for the typo: I think the other option is c (NOT d).

B and C are possible. D isn't.

B and C don't mean the same thing. Do you understand the difference?
