The pages you linked us two both say that 'would' is used for past times and for hypothetical/imagined situations.
What do you mean by "so-called" past tense?

Please share a link to read about "distancing" in English. I think I need to read by myself.

I just want to ask why have you called these past forms "so-called"?

The reason for using "so-called" is because they don't always refer to the past.
