Which of the following sentences are correct, according to the 2nd conditional?
If I had enough money, I would help him.
If I had enough money, I might help him.
If I had enough money, I could help him.
Thank you.

The second conditional goes like this:if + past simple, ...would + infinitive

According to post #2, neither of them is a second conditional.

All the sentences in post #1 are possible 2nd-conditional sentences.

I guess post #2 was wrong then. :)

Ambitious-Girl, native speakers rarely have any idea what a first, second, or third conditional is. I certainly don't without looking them up. I'd never heard the terms, as far as I can remember, before joining this forum.

The 2nd conditional = If (subject) + simple past, (subject) + would/could/might + infinitive.

They are not wrong. However, there's a slight difference in meaning. The second article in post #7 explains it.
