Hi All,

When giving a presentation, should I say 'in this slide' or 'on this slide' when discussing the content of a slide?

It's not like that. It's about the appropriate preposition in the proper context. As you may say:
- Look at the slide.
- "In this slide" inside the slide.
- You really cracked me when you thought it's "On the slide".

Fish-able, I'm afraid that you seem to have misunderstood the question. I agree with bhaisahab that "in this slide" is preferable, but there's nothing wrong with saying "on this slide".

:up: But you could use 'on', in an appropriate context. For example 'On this slide I've listed...'. In this case, the on really does refer to what's on the slide. This would be even more appropriate if you were not sure what was on the slide, and you held it up like a newspaper (so that only you could see it - emphasizing the role of what was on its surface - before putting it on the OHP.

Of course, it'd be preferable (in my opinion) to dispense with prepositions altogether, and just say 'This slide lists all the ...'. ;-)

I would use "on". A slide is a thing that has words and/or pictures on it. There is nothing "in" it.
