Hello!
I have a simple question: why do we need to say: Is English hard to learn? - instead of Does English hard to learn? I ask about it, because we have the verb 'learn', so as for me I'd use here 'does'. Each of us knows that we need to use be (am/is/are) when we don't have any verbs in the sentence. But from other side of hand I suppose that 'Is' concerns directly the noun "English" and that's why we need to say 'Is' not 'Does'. Besides affirmative sentence sounds like: English is hard to learn that's why to create a question we simply need to put "is" on the beggining. Thank you so much for all of the answers.
