Here's a question in the book Interchange:

Would you mind / Can / Is it OK if you feed my cats while I'm on vacation, please?

The answer key says "Can", but is there anything wrong with "Is it OK if"?

Yes. That is apprpriate only if you are asking if an action on your part is acceptable, for example, Is it OK if I stroke your cat?

Two things. One, what's the book exchange? Two, more natural for me would be something like, "I'm going on vacation. Would you mind feeding my cats for me while I'm gone."
