Here's a question in the book Interchange:

Would you mind / Can / Is it OK if you feed my cats while I'm on vacation, please?

The answer key says "Can", but is there anything wrong with "Is it OK if"?

Two things. One, what's the book exchange? Two, more natural for me would be something like, "I'm going on vacation. Would you mind feeding my cats for me while I'm gone."

I typed that from memory.

Am I allowed to make mistakes?

It would seem that the error is obvious.

Of course anyone can make a mistake. I assumed that wasn't the case simply because there were only two responses between the first post and yours. Apologies.
