[Grammar] Is there such word as "busyness"?

Hi Teachers,

As we know that the state of being happy, we use happiness.

Then what about the state of being busy, do we use "busyness" or "business"?

The word "business" normally means profession or trade.

So is there such word as "busyness"?

If not, then what should be used to express the state of being busy?

Please advise.

I have tried looking up for the word "busyness" but I could not find it in "Cambridge International Dictionary of English" (printed copy), whereas I can find the word "busyness" from the recommended site: http://www.onelook.com/

My question: Why can I not find the word "busyness" in British dictionary? Is "busyness" a British or American word?

Not every word is in every dictionary.

The OneLook site tells you that 'busyness' is common in both BrE and AmE.
