No, definitely not. Her accent sounds to me part-Chinese, part-Antipodean.

I have the sound turned low so I don't bother my wife, but what I can hear sounds like a New Zealand accent.

I agree with Jut. It's definitely not British.

I'm definitely hearing those Kiwi notes in addition to the slight Chinese accent. But the Beacon College she's talking about seems to be in Hong Kong, so perhaps it's just a variety of Hong Kong accent.

I was going to say Australian, but it's definitely from that part of the world. How do you spot a New Zealand accent?

It's hard to explain for someone like me who isn't faniliar with phonetics and its related jargon. The best I can come up with is: Kiwis use very short vowels.

"When I first met the teachers ..."
"It was so precise and in-depth ..."

Her "e" sound in those words don't sound like British to me.

It sounds like this:

I've only met or heard a few New Zealanders, so I'm not a reliable witness. But to my ears, the way she says "mit" instead of "met" and "teacheh" instead of "teacher" reminds me of New Zealanders I've heard.
