The normal assumption would be that the speaker was referring to their hockey skills.
Now you said this, it's crystal clear to me it was about skills. Now I can't understand why I thought it was about health. :)

I expect you know that 'pretty good' means 'fairly good/quite good'.

Thanks for pointing this out. Yes, I know it but I definitely could be unaware of it. There are countless little things in English I still don't know and which may cause misunderstanding. Just like in post #1. Well, it was about midnight here in Belarus when I saw that sentence, but I'm not sure it wouldn't happen at any time of the day. :)
