Hello! Could you tell me what the meaning of this phrase is "to jet around the globe". I'm preparing for CPE test listening and there is such phrase. The context is "......so, I decided not to jet around the globe, and found a job in the nearest town instead". I've searched through some dictionaries but there isn't any meaning at all(( Thank you in advance!

See verb (1) definitions 1 and 2.

Edit: I assumed you were asking about 'jet', but if you didn't already know the meaning of globe, see noun entry b.
